Wellness Visit
Our clients are invited to one Wellness Follow-up appointment with our Medical Director, Dr. Stephanie Hedstrom, MFM
This typically occurs within 2 to 6 weeks following the birth. (Insurance dependent)
Some of the common topics discussed with the doctor are:
Physical well-being
Milk production or donation update
Hormonal and postpartum issues
Autopsy and testing overview
Related issues for future pregnancy decisions
A grief specialist is then invited in to assess and discuss topics such as:
Emotional and spiritual well-being
Coping techniques being utilized
Return to work issues
Family, community, children, and couple communications and relationships
PTSD, normal grief and loss feelings and behaviors
A multitude of healing modalities--color and sound therapy, EFT, accupuncture, Reiki, essential oils, yoga, meditation,...
Resource sharing--support options: groups, one-on-one grief mentor, talk therapy, literature, Social Media options...
